The 44th president

There have been many inaugurations and every president has done something embarrassing, or gave long speeches like William Henry Harrison who gave a 45 minute speech causing his audience to sit in the snowy and frigid weather. Well Obama, when he was given the oath using the Lincoln Bible was nervous and messed up a little, but that does not matter, what matters the most was that Obama was the first ever to be African American president and made history. This inauguration was viewed by approximately two million people and Obama's inauguration was viewed than any other president's inauguration. When Obama gave his speech he told the hard times America is going through and what he will change to make America a better place to stay. In is speech there was a quote that I thought was pretty funny, “we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man—and when white will embrace what is right.” I thought that this line was funny and tells us to stop discrimination of all kind.
At Obama's first day of work, the first thing did was shutting down Guantanamo Bay, and he's has many more things in mind to make this country the best place to be. Also on his first day of work he had made a phone call to the leaders of Israel, Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority and promised to work with them to prolong Israeli-Palestinian ceasefire, and help rebuild Gaza. From reading this article, I think America made a good choice to choose Obama as our president.

Article 1

This article talks about Obama and his inauguration and how the speech he gave was well spoken and the important statements he included telling us how the hard times of America will change to be the best place to live. It also talks about the things he did to start off his first day on the job and tell us that we ave chose the right president for the job.

Article 2

In the second article I read it stated the many things that Obama will do for this country and the laws he will pass. These laws will help us to improve our economy. The article also stated what Obama will do to make the war end. All in all the articles is saying that people that chose Obama has made the right choice because he will make the world a great place and will never the less will make America home sweet home.

My Opinion

My opinion for these two articles tell me that Obama is very popular and that he will save this country from becoming a big dump, and will save our economy. When America chose Obama they made the right choice because he will do the best he can and can make us the safest place to be.
