During this week the Omega unit has been doing a project that has to do with symbiosis relationship, and my type of symbiosis relationship is commensalism. Commensalism mean that one organism benefits and the other is neutral. So to demonstrate commensalism I got a got a picture of a vine wrapped around a tree. This shows commensalism because the vine is benefiting by getting into the canopy from the forest floor, and the tree gains nothing. I thought this project is a learning experience because we get to learn about the different types of symbiosis that is around us in everyday life. Also I thought it was cool that some of the students examples of symbiosis will be in a book that will be published, and put into our school library.
